Shanghai

A fishing village near our timeshare in Shanghai.  We caught a bus every day in this little town.

Our timeshare cabin in Shanghai.  We stayed here for 5 days.

This is how the trash is collected in the farming village outside of Shanghai.

I fell in love with the people in the local farming area as we rode the bus everyday.

I took advantage of the shoe shiners.  One on each foot shining my shoes.
A famous bridge, Fangsheng, in the water town

This was a water town named, Zhujiajiao.  Here you can see the many shops.

Shanghai at night as we walked down the street - very beautiful and modern

This is the Murdoch's home.  We stayed in the guest house building next to them.  It was a great hotel and it was fun to be with some BYU teachers.

Shanghai is a beautiful modern city with some great museums.  The bund is beautiful at night because all the buildings are lit with vibrant colors.  Some change designs.  We traveled across the river at night on the ferry. We enjoyed walking along the boardwalk while enjoying the views of the beautiful city across the river.  Our friends, the Murdochs, entertained us well.  They fed us at their home and toured with us.  We learned how to use the Shanghai subway system while we were with them.
The subway was always crowded
