A close family friend of Pete's, Fernando, asked us to visit him in Tokyo. Of course, we took him up on the offer. Our stay with his family was filled with fun times. We toured together, enjoyed family prayers and home evening with them too. It was fun to get to know his growing family and we are grateful for their kindness to us during our stay with them. Here's some highlights of the trip.

Near Fernando's home was a beautiful mansion of General Macarthur. This is where he lived when the US occupied Japanese territory. It's now a lovely park and the home is free to tour. |

We rode the train several times. It was clean and fast. The people aboard were polite and didn't speak. It was very quiet inside--much different than China. |
